Terms of Service
Effective date: 2 September 2026
These Terms explain the general MMHelpers service model, including Candidate Matching, Direct Hire, deployment support, pricing and MatchCare.
Two service pathways, one standard placement loan
MMHelpers supports Direct Hire and Candidate Matching. The standard helper placement loan is S$1,750, while MatchCare applies only to qualifying Candidate Matching placements.
Our service
MMHelpers provides Myanmar helper deployment coordination and related support, with Candidate Matching available for employers who require assistance finding a helper.
The exact scope of work depends on the service pathway and the circumstances of the case. Activities that must legally be carried out by an employer, authorised employment agent, government authority or another authorised party remain the responsibility of that party.
Candidate Matching
Candidate Matching begins with understanding the employer's household, duties, routines, working expectations and helper requirements.
MMHelpers may use this information together with relevant candidate experience, preferences, communication, readiness and other factors when presenting candidates for consideration.
The employer remains responsible for interviewing and deciding whether to employ a candidate, and the helper must also understand and accept the important duties and expectations of the placement.
Matching and screening reduce uncertainty but cannot guarantee personality compatibility, performance or the duration of an employment relationship.
Direct Hire
Direct Hire applies when the employer has independently chosen the helper before engaging MMHelpers.
This can include a former helper, a helper recommended through the employer's own network or another candidate selected independently by the employer.
MMHelpers coordinates the agreed deployment support but does not make or recommend the match in a Direct Hire arrangement.
Direct Hire does not include MatchCare.
Because the employer selected the helper independently, Direct Hire placements are not covered by the MMHelpers MatchCare Replacement Policy.
Employer responsibilities
Employers remain responsible for complying with applicable Singapore requirements relating to the employment of a migrant domestic worker.
This includes responsibilities that may apply to the Work Permit, levy, security bond, insurance, salary, accommodation, medical obligations, rest days, working conditions and other requirements imposed by the relevant authorities.
Employers are also responsible for providing reasonably accurate information about the household and expected role, and for informing the helper of material duties and expectations.
Pricing and payment
Standard helper placement loan
SGD S$1,750
S$500 fixed reference × 3.5 months
In these Terms, “placement loan” means the helper's placement loan associated with the deployment. Under the standard arrangement, it is calculated using a fixed S$500 reference × 3.5 months, giving S$1,750.
The same standard S$1,750 placement loan applies whether the Myanmar helper is fresh or has previous Singapore experience. MMHelpers does not use separate standard placement loans for those two categories.
The S$500 figure is a fixed calculation reference only. It does not cap the helper's actual monthly salary. A higher agreed salary does not automatically increase the standard S$1,750 placement loan.
The placement loan is not a separate MMHelpers agency/service fee. MMHelpers does not add a separate agency/service fee, sourcing fee, instalment surcharge or later Myanmar-side processing bill on top under the standard arrangement.
Government, MOM-related, insurance, security bond where applicable, Singapore medical and other third-party costs that legally belong to the employer may still apply separately. The S$1,750 placement loan does not include every statutory or third-party employer expense.
Under the standard arrangement, no MMHelpers placement payment is collected upfront before arrival. The S$1,750 standard placement loan is settled as one payment after the helper arrives safely in Singapore, rather than through monthly instalments.
MMHelpers settles applicable Myanmar-side deployment and preparation costs while the case is progressing. Any exceptional or case-specific payment arrangement must be agreed separately.
Nothing in these Terms authorises an employer to make a salary deduction that is not permitted under applicable law.
Deployment
MMHelpers coordinates applicable Myanmar-side preparation, documentation, departure, travel and arrival-related steps within the agreed scope of the case.
A typical deployment may take approximately 8–11 days after the helper reaches the MMHelpers office and the necessary requirements are ready.
This is an estimated timeframe, not a guaranteed arrival date. Timing can change because of document readiness, government procedures, medical or eligibility issues, departure requirements, flight availability, public holidays or other circumstances outside MMHelpers' reasonable control.
MatchCare
Qualifying MMHelpers Candidate Matching placements include a 5-Month MatchCare period. MatchCare does not apply to Direct Hire.
If a significant placement issue arises, MMHelpers may review the original Household Assessment, agreed duties, employer and helper accounts, communications and reasonable efforts made to teach, learn, communicate and adjust.
MatchCare is a structured replacement-support process. It is not an unconditional exchange, refund or satisfaction guarantee. The applicable outcome depends on the circumstances and category of the case.
Replacement outcomes
MatchCare replacement calculations are separate from the S$1,750 standard initial placement loan.
Genuine mismatch
Where both sides have made reasonable efforts but the placement genuinely cannot continue, the replacement deployment burden is 3.5 months in total: 1.5 months is borne by the employer and 2 months is absorbed by MMHelpers.
Helper-side responsibility
Where a qualifying case is determined to be primarily helper-side responsibility, the employer may receive a replacement without an additional deployment fee, subject to the applicable MatchCare terms and review.
Employer-requested change
Where the employer requests a change that does not qualify as genuine mismatch or helper-side responsibility, the current standard deployment pricing applies to the new deployment.
Up to two qualifying genuine-mismatch replacements may be available during the 5-month MatchCare period, subject to the applicable review and conditions.
A helper requiring reasonable teaching, correction or adjustment time does not by itself establish a mismatch or helper-side responsibility.
Information and cooperation
Employers and helpers are expected to provide information that is reasonably accurate, complete and current where it is relevant to matching or deployment.
Materially incomplete, misleading or undisclosed information may affect MMHelpers' ability to provide the service and may be considered during a MatchCare or replacement review.
Household circumstances can naturally change after arrival. Where significant new duties or workload arise, they should be communicated clearly and reasonable adjustment should be allowed where appropriate.
Third parties and external decisions
A deployment can involve government authorities, clinics, document processors, airlines, transport providers and other independent parties.
MMHelpers cannot guarantee medical results, Work Permit or other government approvals, immigration or departure decisions, documentation outcomes, flight availability or the pricing, availability or performance of an independent third party.
Cancellation before arrival
If an employer or helper withdraws after a match or Direct Hire deployment has been confirmed, costs may already have been committed for preparation, documentation, processing, travel or other deployment steps.
Any cancellation responsibility depends on the stage and circumstances of the case, commitments already made and any applicable agreed cancellation terms.
The standard placement loan is not automatically a cancellation charge for every pre-arrival case that does not proceed.
Service limitations
MMHelpers cannot guarantee that a particular candidate will accept a household, that an application or deployment will be approved, that travel will occur on a particular date or that an employment relationship will continue for a particular period.
Screening, preparation and matching can improve readiness and reduce avoidable mismatch, but they cannot remove all uncertainty from an employment relationship.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a right or obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Changes to these Terms
MMHelpers may update these Terms as our services, policies, operations or applicable requirements change.
The current version will be published on this page with its effective date. Terms applicable to an already-confirmed case may also depend on the agreement made for that case.
