Clear answers before you move forward.
Understand Direct Hire, candidate matching, deployment, payment and MatchCare before deciding which MMHelpers pathway is right for your household.
Start with one question
Have you already chosen your helper?
Yes — Direct Hire
You choose the helper. MMHelpers coordinates deployment. MatchCare does not apply.
No — Candidate Matching
We understand your household first, support matching, then coordinate deployment with 5-Month MatchCare.
Direct Hire
Employer chooses helper → MMHelpers deploys → No MatchCare
Candidate Matching
Household Assessment → matching support → deployment → 5-Month MatchCare
01
Getting started with MMHelpers
Understand the two ways MMHelpers can help before deciding which path applies to you.
What does MMHelpers help employers with?
MMHelpers supports Singapore employers hiring Myanmar helpers through two pathways. If you have already selected your helper, we can coordinate the Direct Hire deployment. If you still need a helper, we can first understand your household and support candidate matching before deployment.
How do I know which pathway I should use?
Use Direct Hire if you already know the specific helper you want to employ. Use Candidate Matching if you want MMHelpers to understand your household and help identify potentially suitable candidates.
Can I speak with MMHelpers before deciding?
Yes. Tell us whether you already have a helper, what stage you are at and what support you need.
02
Candidate Matching & Household Assessment
How we understand the household and support a more informed matching process.
Why does matching start with a Household Assessment?
Suitability depends on more than a helper's biodata. Household composition, care needs, pets, home size, cooking, cleaning, routines, working style and expected independence can all affect whether a placement is likely to work well.
Can I interview candidates before choosing?
Yes. Employers should discuss the household, main responsibilities, care needs, routines and important expectations so both sides can make a better-informed decision.
Does completing the Household Assessment guarantee a match?
No. The assessment helps MMHelpers make a more informed matching review, but it cannot guarantee long-term compatibility or performance.
03
Direct Hire
For employers who have independently selected the Myanmar helper they want to employ.
I already have a helper. Can MMHelpers handle the deployment?
Yes. If you have already selected the Myanmar helper you want to employ, MMHelpers can coordinate the applicable deployment process without requiring candidate matching.
Does Direct Hire include MatchCare?
No. The employer independently selected the helper, so MMHelpers coordinates deployment but does not make or recommend the match. Direct Hire placements are not covered by MatchCare.
Does Direct Hire use different pricing?
No. The standard helper placement loan is S$1,750 for both Direct Hire and Candidate Matching deployments unless a case-specific arrangement is expressly agreed.
04
Deployment & arrival
What happens once the helper and employer are ready to proceed.
What happens after a case is confirmed?
The case moves through the applicable deployment stages, which can include documentation, MOM and IPA requirements, Myanmar-side processing, departure preparation, travel arrangements and Singapore arrival.
How long does deployment take?
Timing depends on the stage of the case and whether the required documents and approvals are ready. Any timeframe provided is an estimate rather than a guaranteed arrival date.
Does MMHelpers settle Myanmar-side deployment costs while the case is moving?
MMHelpers settles the applicable Myanmar-side deployment and preparation costs while the case is progressing. This is one reason the S$1,750 placement loan is settled as one payment after arrival rather than through monthly instalments.
05
Pricing & payment
How the standard placement loan is calculated and when it is settled.
What is the standard placement loan?
The standard helper placement loan is S$1,750. It is calculated using a fixed S$500 reference × 3.5 months. The same standard placement loan applies whether the Myanmar helper is fresh or has previous Singapore experience.
How is S$1,750 calculated?
The placement loan uses a fixed S$500 reference for 3.5 months: S$500 × 3.5 = S$1,750.
Does S$500 mean the helper's salary must be S$500?
No. S$500 is only the fixed calculation reference. The helper's actual agreed salary may be higher, for example S$550 or S$600, without increasing the standard S$1,750 placement loan.
Is the placement loan different for fresh and ex-Singapore helpers?
No. MMHelpers does not use separate standard placement loans for fresh and ex-Singapore Myanmar helpers. The standard placement loan is S$1,750 for both.
When do I make the payment?
The standard arrangement is to settle the S$1,750 placement loan once after the helper arrives safely in Singapore. There is no MMHelpers placement payment upfront before arrival.
Can the payment be split into monthly instalments?
Monthly instalments are not part of the standard arrangement. MMHelpers settles applicable Myanmar-side deployment expenses while the case is active, so the S$1,750 placement loan is settled once after arrival rather than carrying completed deployment balances for several additional months.
Does MMHelpers add a separate agency or service fee?
No. S$1,750 is the helper's placement loan. MMHelpers does not add a separate agency/service fee, sourcing fee, instalment surcharge or later Myanmar-side processing bill on top under the standard arrangement.
Does S$1,750 include every employer cost in Singapore?
No. Government, MOM-related, insurance, security bond where applicable, Singapore medical and other third-party costs that legally belong to the employer may still apply separately. S$1,750 is the helper's placement loan, not an all-in price covering every statutory or third-party Singapore employer expense.
06
5-Month MatchCare
How qualifying Candidate Matching placement problems are reviewed.
What is 5-Month MatchCare?
MatchCare is the structured post-deployment support period for eligible MMHelpers Candidate Matching placements. It does not apply to Direct Hire.
What happens financially in a qualifying genuine mismatch?
The replacement deployment burden is 3.5 months in total. The employer bears 1.5 months and MMHelpers absorbs 2 months, so MMHelpers takes the larger share of the replacement risk.
Is the genuine-mismatch replacement calculation separate from the initial placement loan?
Yes. The standard initial placement loan is S$1,750. For a qualifying genuine mismatch under MatchCare, the replacement burden is separately shared as 1.5 months by the employer and 2 months by MMHelpers.
What if I simply decide that I want a different helper?
If the employer requests a change for personal preference, changed family requirements or another reason that does not qualify under MatchCare, the current standard deployment pricing applies to the new deployment.
What happens after the five-month MatchCare period?
A later replacement is normally treated as a new deployment and the current standard deployment pricing applies.
07
After arrival & getting support
What to do when questions or placement concerns appear after arrival.
What should I do if a problem appears after arrival?
Raise the issue early and explain the specific behaviour, task or expectation involved. Clear examples are more useful than waiting until several unrelated frustrations accumulate.
How do I contact MMHelpers if I still have a question?
Contact MMHelpers through WhatsApp and include whether you already have a helper, need candidate matching, or the stage of an existing deployment.
