Direct-hire journey

From helper agreement to Singapore arrival

This page explains how MMHelpers supports a direct-hire Myanmar helper case after employer and helper agree. It covers Myanmar-side documents, medical, departure preparation, the estimated 4–8 day deployment period after IPA, safe arrival, payment settlement, and early adjustment support.

Stages

The direct-hire journey step by step

01

Employer and helper agree

The journey starts after you and the helper have interviewed, discussed the household duties, and agreed to proceed. The helper may be your ex-helper, someone recommended to you, a candidate you found directly, or a helper MMHelpers helped you review.

02

Case review and document collection

MMHelpers reviews the helper’s situation and collects the required documents. We check basic identity information, passport readiness, employment details, and case-specific Myanmar-side requirements before continuing.

03

Verification and document preparation

We prepare the required Myanmar-side documents and arrange verification or notarization where needed. This helps reduce avoidable issues before the medical and departure stages.

04

Medical checkup arrangement

We arrange the helper’s medical checkup. The case continues only after the required medical stage is completed. If a medical issue is identified, MMHelpers informs the employer before further deployment expenses are committed where possible.

05

Myanmar-side departure preparation

After the helper is medically and document-ready, we coordinate her Myanmar-side departure preparation, travel readiness, airport planning, and related procedures needed before she can travel.

06

Employer prepares IPA, bond, and insurance

The employer handles Singapore-side requirements such as the Work Permit application, In-Principle Approval (IPA), security bond, insurance, and other MOM responsibilities. Flight planning proceeds after the IPA and travel requirements are ready.

07

Flight planning after IPA

After MOM issues the IPA, MMHelpers coordinates the final departure and flight arrangement. Deployment usually takes approximately 4–8 days after IPA issuance, depending on readiness, airport procedures, public holidays, and flight availability.

08

Arrival and payment settlement

After the helper arrives safely in Singapore, the employer settles the agreed 3-month salary loan amount. The helper has only the agreed 3-month salary loan, with no hidden loans or additional salary deductions added by MMHelpers.

09

Post-arrival adjustment support

MMHelpers remains available for early communication support, expectation review, and practical guidance. We encourage both employer and helper to raise concerns early so that small adjustment issues do not become serious conflicts.

Timeline and payment

The key numbers employers should know

Estimated deployment

4–8 days

Usually counted after MOM issues the helper’s IPA and required travel preparation is ready.

Standard pricing

3-month loan

Only the helper’s agreed 3-month salary loan is collected by MMHelpers.

Payment timing

After arrival

Payment is made after the helper arrives safely in Singapore.

The 4–8 day estimate may depend on:

Completion of Myanmar-side departure requirements

Medical and document readiness

Airport and immigration procedures

Flight availability

Public holidays or unexpected processing delays

The 4–8 day period is an estimated deployment timeframe after IPA issuance, not a guaranteed arrival date. MMHelpers will keep the employer informed if an unexpected delay occurs.

MMHelpers MatchCare Promise

One-time Replacement Support

We focus first on careful matching, preparation, and early communication. If a genuine mismatch still happens, eligible employers may receive one approved replacement support within the first 3 months.

Read full replacement policy

For an approved replacement

MMHelpers shares the replacement cost with the employer.

One Replacement Support may be available within the first 3 months of the original helper’s arrival.

For an approved replacement, the employer pays only a 2-month salary loan.

MMHelpers absorbs the equivalent of the remaining 1-month salary loan.

The benefit is available one time only for each original placement.

Replacement Support is subject to review and reasonable mediation. After the one-time benefit is used, any further helper arrangement follows the standard 3-month salary loan.

Clarification

What employers should understand

MMHelpers handles Myanmar-side support, not Singapore agency work

MMHelpers is not a licensed Singapore maid agency. We support Myanmar-side coordination, document preparation, medical arrangement, departure handling, flight planning, arrival settlement, and practical post-arrival communication.

Employer handles Singapore-side requirements

The employer is responsible for the Singapore-side Work Permit application, IPA, security bond, insurance, and other MOM or employer obligations.

Pricing is based on the agreed 3-month salary loan

For example, if the agreed salary is SGD 500 per month, the 3-month salary loan is SGD 1,500. The actual amount depends on the agreed monthly salary.

No hidden loans or additional MMHelpers deductions

The helper only has the agreed 3-month salary loan. After the agreed 3 months are completed, she has no further loan obligation to MMHelpers.

Deployment timing starts after IPA

Deployment usually takes approximately 4–8 days after MOM issues the helper’s IPA. This estimate can change because of departure readiness, medical or document issues, airport procedures, public holidays, or flight availability.

Final hiring decision remains with the employer

MMHelpers can screen, prepare, train, and coordinate, but household fit, performance, personality, and long-term satisfaction cannot be fully guaranteed. Employers should interview and decide carefully.

Replacement Support is limited and subject to review

Eligible employers may receive one approved replacement within the first 3 months. The replacement helper requires a 2-month salary loan, while MMHelpers absorbs the equivalent of 1 month. The benefit is available one time only and is not an unlimited replacement guarantee.
